A Blast from the Past to Free Online Games
When gaming started it was actually quite simple. Most of us probably remember the original Nintendo Entertainment System and the first handheld system Nintendo released (Game Boy), and we spent a fair amount of time playing those rather simple games. From Tetris to Mario, to Zelda and Metroid, we invested hours in these games and when those glory days were gone, they were simply gone. For many of us there was no warning as the gaming world erupted into a three-dimensional paradise where more parameters were present and real stories could finally be told.
Would it surprise you to find out that those types of games are still alive and well? You do not have to take your old Nintendo off the shelf, and you certainly do not need to go shopping for cartridges. What you can do is search the internet for free online games, and you might be surprised at what you find. Most online games tend to be derived from some of the older games, and you may in fact find some nice side scrolling adventure games among the free online games out there.
Finding free online games was a bit difficult at one point. The problem with free games was simply that there were so many people developing them and there was no central location for them to be stores. Websites such as Gamesoid are attempting to rectify that situation by hosting games themselves and through affiliate marketing.
The affiliate marketing is actually applied to other websites that feature their own array of arcade style free online games. In other words if you host a website of this nature you can add a link to the Gamesoid website, allowing traffic to their website as well as traffic to your website. All you need to do is let them know you have done the linking and they will make sure traffic is directed to your website. Through this Gamesoid has managed to build a huge network that spans multiple continents. In other words, all of your favorite online games can be found in one place!
These free games are not overly complicated and are along the same lines as the older ones: they are meant to fill your time and nothing more. If you remember, many games from that time period were not entirely complicated though there were some that took up to twenty hours to complete. When you are playing on Gamesoid, you will be playing some of the simpler games though they are still quite fun.
Upon arriving at the website, you will find a number of games sitting on the front page. These are the games that have proven to be the most popular. There are actually about 25,000 games on the website in total. You can view these by checking out the different categories across the top of the webpage. Once you click on a genre, you will be shown a list of the games in that genre and have the option of selecting one of the games. Because there is, no login required there are no high scores and you will not have the option of saving your game, but that is part of the fun! You will be able to come back whenever you want and play as many times as you want! Isn’t it great? This is just one of the many advantages to using Gamesoid
One of the other advantages is that you will be able to play from nearly anywhere in the world. So long as the website is allowed, and the appropriate runtime environments are installed, you should be able to play and enjoy yourself. As you can see, the benefits and rewards to playing online games are nearly endless and to be perfectly honest this is often much better than starting up a resource intensive game that will require huge amounts of concentration.
If you are ready to have a great experience, then it is time for you to head on over to the Gamesoid website and try out some of the games. There are many people who claim they will never be hooked on free online games and you might be one of them, but after one try, we can assure you that you will be hooked.
