Review part 1 of 2. Classic Game Room HD explodes into first person shooter action on the Playstation 3 with a review of Resistance, Fall of Man! “Just because the graphics are better doesn’t mean the game is better” How is this game vs. Halo 3 and Bioshock? How is the PS3 vs. Xbox 360? How is the PS3 vs. Sega Genesis? Watch the review and find out. You are a Yank in Britain shooting aliens with a variety of fun weapons and this excellent shooting/action/adventure game that takes place shortly after WW2 in an alternate reality. Ths game is only available on the PS3, you cannot get it for Atari 2600, 7800, Xbox 360 or even Colecovision. Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room HD – PAC MAN for Nintendo Entertainment System

Classic Game Room HD reviews PAC MAN for the NES, the Nintendo Entertainment System from Namco and Tengen. This 1993 release of the game is fairly true to the original although I found the speed of gameplay to bit slightly different. Pac-Man on NES starts off extremely slow and then picks up the pace rapidly. Visually true to the original with good sound and graphics, the Tengen release of Namco’s classic coin-op should please those collecting NES cartridges. It looks smooth too with Pac Man sporting a pimp hat on a classy black game cart. This CGR review of Pac Man on NES has gameplay from Pac Man on Nintendo showing 8-bit Pac Man game play in HD.

Classic Game Room reviews COMBAT for the Atari 2600

Classic Game Room season 1 – 1/20/2000 If you look up the word “Old School” in the dictionary you’ll see a picture of this game. It was made for the legendary Atari 2600 in 1978, way before such things as motorized horseless carriages, World War I and light beer. It was probably made before your parents even met. Game Room reviewed Atari, NES, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Playstation… too bad they didn’t get to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or Wii.

Classic Game Room reviews ADVENTURE for Atari 2600

Classic Game Room season 2 – 4/6/2007 From 1978 and the land of disco, malted hops and barley comes Stella the Wonderdog and her second review for Classic Game Room. Adventure is the original RPG.. which does not stand for “Real Playas Gangsta”. Maybe it does… who cares? Game Room reviewed Atari, NES, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Playstation… too bad they didn’t get to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or Wii.

Classic Game Room reviews CONTRA for NES

Classic Game Room Season 1 – 3/7/2000 Happy Valentine’s Day Special! Classic Game Room was the first onlineclassic video game review show, broadcast from 1999-2000 and cancelled in the dot com bust. Classic Game Room blasts aliens into oblivion with one of the best side scrolling games of all time! Classic Game Room is now available as a feature length documentary film about the rise and fall of the historic show. In the meantime it’s a heartwarming day to remember, it’s the return of Classic Game Room. Game Room reviewed Atari, NES, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Playstation… too bad they didn’t get to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or Wii.

Classic Game Room reviews SWORD of the BERSERK for Dreamcast

Classic Game Room season 1 – 3/31/2000 It’s not every day that you get to bludgeon people with an 8 foot sword and watch their blood spray 20 feet into the air. It’s also not every day that mutant plant people come after you and try to rip you in half with tentacles and gouge out your eyes.. and then you get to cut them in half and mash your sword into their head! You get the idea. This is the perfect game for sociopaths who don’t want to leave their couch. Game Room reviewed Atari, NES, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Playstation… too bad they didn’t get to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or Wii.

Classic Game Room reviews GRAN TURISMO 2 for Playstation

Greetings from January 4th, 2000!!!! Classic Game Room season 1 – 1/4/2000 What do we have now? Gran Turismo HD, Gran Turismo 5, Gran Turismo Concept… I’m not even sure. But back in 1999 we had Gran Turismo 2 and it was awesome. GT2 had hundreds of great cars on the playstation 1 (the PSX) and dozens of tracks that are still better than all the tracks currently on Forza 2. Mark and Dave give GT2 a big thumbs up, and please bring back the Vector and tracks like Grindewalk and Red Rock (or whatever it was called) Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD.

Star Craft 2 – Gameplay Video #3 (HD) High Definition

starcraft II is a trilogy of military science fiction real-time strategy video games currently under development by Blizzard Entertainment as a sequel to the award-winning 1998 video game starcraft. starcraft II, originally envisioned as a single game, was announced to be a trilogy at blizzcon 2008, consisting of one game followed up later by two expansion packs, provisionally entitled Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void respectively. Unlike the original series where each game had three, 8-10 mission campaigns one for each race, each game in the Starcraft II trilogy will have only one, 26-30 mission campaign centered around one specific race. The Terrans will be in the spotlight for the first campaign, followed up by Zerg and Protoss races in the expansions. Every game in the trilogy, however, will allow you to play as any race during the single player skirmish or multiplayer and online modes. Blizzard states that the expansion packs will have lots of content and feel like full games on their own right. No release dates were announced for the trilogy.
